The Grow Namibia Foundation
The Grow Namibia Foundation is a Namibian initiative dedicated to conservation, community upliftment, and the digitalisation of services that protect and promote Namibia's natural heritage. Based in Swakopmund, Erongo Region, the Foundation works at the intersection of technology and conservation to create practical solutions for visitors and communities alike.
This national park permits platform is one of the Foundation's flagship projects — designed to simplify the permit booking process for visitors to Namibia's 20 state-run protected areas, while ensuring that conservation fees reach the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) efficiently and transparently.
The Grow Namibia Foundation is powered by About Africa Co., a Swakopmund-based tourism technology company specialising in digital solutions for the Namibian travel and conservation sector.
How We Work
An Independent Gateway
It is important to understand that the Grow Namibia Foundation is not contracted by MEFT. We are an independent third-party service, created by our own initiative, designed to facilitate and assist visitors with services related to MEFT's national park system. We act purely as a gateway.
This possibility was made through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MEFT that speaks to information sharing and the digitalisation of information for the Ministry. Through this partnership, we are able to provide accurate, up-to-date fee schedules and generate permits that match the official MEFT 'Park Entrance-Booking' form structure.
Every permit purchased through our platform uses the official MEFT fee schedule. We handle the complexity of multi-park trip planning, fee calculations across different nationality categories and vehicle bands, and the generation of compliant documentation — so you can focus on the adventure.
